ABSTRACTWiththedeepeningoftheeconomicsystemreformofourcountry，themanagementenvironmentthatenterprisesfacehaschangedenormously，andmarketcompetitionsarebecomingfiercerthanever.Theproductcostofenterpriseisnotonlyanimportantfactorinfluencingenterpriseprofitlevel，butalsoanimportantissueinfluencingenterprisecompetitiveness，survivalanddevelopmentpotentialities，andimplementationofproductcostcontrolisthebasethatenterpriseestablishesandexecutesdevelopmentstrategies.ThistexthasanalyzedinternalandexternalmanagementenvironmentthatHYCompanyfaces，andthecompetitionpressurescomingfromdomesticandforeignautomobilesparepartsenterprisesespeciallywithChina’sentryintoWTO，thenputforwardthatstrengtheningproductcostcontrolisessentialandurgent.Firstlythemainandmodernproductcostcontrolmethodssuchasvalueengineeringanalysis，costdrivers，valuechainandsoonareexplainedinthepaperbasedonthebasictheoryofproductcostcontrol.ThenthecurrentproductcostcontrolandthemainproblemsexistinginproductcostcontrolareanalyzedincombinationwithproductionandmanagementofHYCompany.ThedetailedresolutionsforproductcostcontrolinHYCompanyaresetforthasfollows:Establishproducttargetcostsystemandtakethetargetcostasthecriteriaforproductcostcontrol.Byanalyzingproductvaluechainandcostdrivers，thebasicactivitiesofHY’soperationchain(valuechain)aresummarizedasthreeprimaryactivities，includingincominglogisticactivities，productionoperationactivities，marketingandserviceactivities，andfoursecondaryactivities，i.e.purchasing，productdesign，humanresourcemanagementandgeneralenterpriseadministration.Thecostdriversforeachactivityareanalyzedandcostcontrolobjectsformainproductisdetermined.Productcostcontrolresponsibilityistobeperfectincombinationwithdetailedoperationactivities.Costcontrolmeasuresforkeycostdriversareestablished，whichincludesproductdesignactivities，productionoperationactivities，marketingandserviceactivities，purchasingcost，humanresourcecost，generaladministration，qualitycostandsoon.Finallythreeproposalsareputforwardtoensuretheproductcostc
