AbstractLand use change in the global environment is the important part of the main reasons. With the impact of human activities on the environment, population, resources and environment problem increasingly, sparking concern about land use change. So land use change in the global environment research come into the forefront and hot fields of research, and the driving forces of land use change research is the core content of the study. Strengthen land use change and its driving force to the study population, resources, environment harmonious development of sustainable development has a very important role.Based on summarizing the current situation at home and abroad of research, the research contents and methods of paper are put forward. This paper take Ganzhou district as the research object which is in the middle reaches of Heihe River, on the correct understanding of the Ganzhou district in natural and social economic status, and using second-degree land types as the research object, via 1996-2008 years of land use dynamic change analysis, from land use quantity change, land use structure change, land use degree change, land use change regional differences are analyzed by using the dynamic change of land Ganzhou district characteristics, this paper reveals the land use change rule of Ganzhou district.On the basis of analyzing the dynamic change of land use, the dynamic change and its driving factors of land use in Ganzhou district are analyzed. The natural factors including climate, topography, hydrology and soil factors are analyzed with the qualitative analysis method. The process of the anthropogenic factors uses both quantitative and qualitative analysis method. Firstly, select 10 social economic factors which influence on Ganzhou district land use change from 1996 to 2008, using the principal component analysis method, enter it into the mathematics analysis software SPSS.
