ABSTRACTTheadditivedrag-reductionphenomenon,whichcanleadtogreat reductionofturbulentdragbyaddingalittlepolymerandsurfactantinto thehydrosolubleNewtonianfluid,hasbeencalledTOMSeffect.Because the polymer which is not the same as the surfactant don’t endure mechanicaldegradation,asanewturbulentdrag-reducingtechnology,the turbulentdrag-reductionofsurfactantisappliedin thetransportfieldof aqueousphaseliquidsoastoreducethepowerconsumptionof transportation.So the research of thesurfactant drag-reduction of turbulentisbecomingpromisingtopicinthefield ofreducingdragand savingenergyallover the world.However,domestic researchofcetyltri- methylammonium bromideand the surfactant drag-reducing effect ofhydraulic transportofsolidisrather little.InfluenceofconcentrationofsolutionandmolarratioofNaSalon drag-reducingeffecthavebeenexperimentallyinvestigatedwithahalf openloopsysteminthispaper.TheresultsindicatethatcriticalReynolds numberandscopeofdrag-reductionimproveswithincreasing concentrationofsolution.Thedrag-reducingeffectofCTABimproves withReynoldsnumberincreasedunderthesameconcentrationof solution.WhenReexceedsacertainvalue,thedrag-reducingeffectstart todecline,andbacktothesolventlevelofNewtonianfluidfinally.The experimentofmolarratioofNaSalshowthat,thevariationtrendofthe curveofeachmolarratioisconsistent.Forachievingthebestdrag- reductionthere isaoptimumratio.Inthedrag-reducingtestofhydraulictransportofsolid,fanning frictionalfactordecreaseswithconcentrationofCTABincreasedunder thesamemass ratioofsand.Fanningfrictionalfactoraugments with mass ratioofsandincreasedunderthesameconcentrationofCTAB,and thedrag-reducingeffectweakenswithmassratioofsandincreasedunder thesame concentrationofCTAB.Theresearchofthedrag-reducingcharacteristicofCTABprovides anusefulreferenceforapplyingCTABtopracticalprojects.The experimentalstudyofsurfactantdrag-reductionwasconductedintheIIhydraulictransportofsolid,whichhasimportantimplicationsforlong distance transportationofsilt.Keywords: surfactant,tur
