AbstractDuringrecentyears,oxidesupportedAunanoparticles,suchlikeAu/CeO2,Au/TiO2,Au/ZrO2,havebeenconsideredaspromisingheterogeneouscatalystsin application.Inspiteoftheoutstandingperformance,bothbasicresearchand applicationprogresshavebeenlimitedbytheunclearinterfacepropertiesofAu nanoparticlesandtheirinfluencetocatalyticperformance,aswellasthelow utilizationofAunanoparticles(lowerthan50%).Withthesetwoissues,samplewithAuloadingof0.33wt.%waspreparedon thecarrierofCeO2bydepositionprecipitation.DemonstratedbyICP-AES,XRDand HRTEMtechniques,Au/CeO2samplewithAuentitiesundernanoscalewasprepared, andmetaldispersionorutilizationof100%wouldachieveonthissample. Au/CeO2samplewasendureddifferentredoxtreatments(oxidativemeasuringfully-reducedsampleat300℃inair-flowbycontrollingoxidationperiod)toobtainaseriesofAu/CeO2catalysts,whichwerecharacterizedbyH2-TPRmeasurementsandtestedby employingCOoxidationas indicatorreactioninthiswork.Around20timesof hydrogen-consumptionscomparedtothecalculatedconsumption(byassumingallloaded Au as AuIII species to consume H2) but with the peak shifts in a lowtemperaturerangeof102-150℃onthesecatalystswereilluminatedbyH2-TPRmeasurements,disclosing theoutstanding redoxfeatureontheinterfaceofsuch Au/CeO2catalysts.TheredoxstateofsuchAu/oxideinterfacesandcorresponding activitywereabletobesimultaneouslytunedbymodulatingtheoxidationperiod. Thecatalystobtainedfrom30minoxidativemeasurementshowedthelowesthydrogenconsumptionpeaktemperature,disclosingthemostoutstandingredox feature.Accordingly, variouscatalystsshoweddifferentcatalyticperformanceforCO oxidationreaction,andcatalysisperformanceofthecatalystobtainedfrom30minoxidativemeasurementwasoptimal,whichTOFat30℃forCOoxidationbyupto10timescomparedtothestate-of-artAu/CeO2catalyst(carryingofca.3.0nmAu particles).Inaddition,thedeclinedactivityofthetypicalcatalystaftera30h continuousreactionwasabletoberecoveredbytuningbackofitsredoxstate,furtherindicatedthatthemetal-oxideinterfacialredoxpropertycouldfunctionasdominati
