In order to acc rately meas re characteristic parameters of volt age sag, we proposed a novel detection method of voltage sag based on H ilbert t ransform and dq t ransform. First, t he -co- ordinate was str ct red according to act al meas red voltage and its H ilbert transform, and then the -static coor- dinate w as transformed into the dq rot ating coordinate, and finally the amplit de and phase angle of voltage sag were calc lated from dq transform o tcome. Compared with 90 delay method, convent ional voltage sag detection meth- od, the sim lation res lt s verif y that the new method is correct and effective. T he new method which has short re- sponse time overcomes the short dist rbance of 90delay method, and has slightly higher detect ion acc racy than 90 delay method.
