Handbook for College Research(15) When Appropriate The information in this chapter is based on The Chicago Manual of Style, fifteenth edition (Chicago: U of Chicago P, 2003), and Kate L. Turabian’s A Manual for Writers of Term Papers, Theses, and Dissertations, sixth edition (Chicago: U of Chicago P, 1996). While the chapter describes Chicago style and the sample materials illustrate Chicago notes and citations, the primary text of this chapter follws the conventions of MLA.
