The Ore Status of Ao’shan Stope of Ma Steel Nanshan Mining Company Ao’shan iron mine located on the margin of volcanic caldera of Dahuangshan formation which is in the southeast of Nanjing pit and big syncline between Nanjing and Wuhu. The ore body of Ao’shan iron mine presents saccate and occurs in diorite porphyrite body, 700m~900m long, 500m~550m wide, 272m thick, 160m ore outcrop elevation, -214m deepening, ore body strikes N45oE, NW dipping, dip angle 40o～90o differs, the rock intense weathered and alterated, the boundary line between ore body and wall rock unconspicuous, no complex geologic structure. The genetic type of mineral deposit is hypothermal and vanadium-magnetite deposit, its host rock is diorite porphyrite. Ⅰ. The mining technical conditions of mineral deposit The physical and mechanical property of rock Average weight: lean ore 2.91t/m3, rock 2.51 t/ m3 Degree of ore rock hardness: ore f＝9～11, rock f＝8～10oefficient of volumetric expansion of ore rock: ore 1.598, rock 1.624 The kinds of alteration of wall rock in the ore area are silicification, kaolinization, sericitization, pyrophyllitization, alunitization, chloritization, epidotization and pyritization. The rock above oxidized zone is comparatively soft, and the ore body below oxidized zone directly touching the roof floor of wall rock（diorite porphyrite）is comparatively stable and hard. There are F1 shatterred fault zone and intense kaolinization section which have big influence on slope stability. Ⅱ. Ore property ⅰ. Nanshan iron mine is hypothermal deposit, which is devided into four natural subtypes, i.e porphyrite breccia-oriented and disseminated magnetic iron ore (hereinafter referred to as 1# mine), chloritization apatite, actinolite magnetic iron ore (hereinafter referred to as 2# mine), diorite porphyrite disseminated magnetic iron ore (hereinafter referred to as 3# mine) and clayization diorite porphyrite disseminated magnetic iron ore (hereinafter referred to as 4# mi
