Design-expert7. 1 softw are w as used in exper-i mental design and a apredictive polynomial quadratic equation models were developed by solving the quadratic e- quation as well as analyzing the response surface plots and their corresponding contour plots. Response surface analysis results showed that independent variables had significant correlation w ith the response value, and the ex- perimental values agreed w ith the predicted values of the model equation. The optimum results of coagulation ex- periment w ere determined to be 4 mg/ L PAC( 1g/ L) , 1 mg/ L PAM( 5 mg/ L) , the removal rate of COD in landfill leachate was up to 41. 44 %, meanwhile 29. 7 % ammonia nitrogen w as removed, and economic perfor- mance w as best, up to 4. 42 kg/ yuan( calculated w
