2015 6 27 中原文物 年第 期 试析中国早期器物刻画 * 符号的命名问题 马保春 袁广阔 ( ) 首都师范大学历史学院 首都文化建设协同创新中心 Abstract :There are many materials on the symbol carved and painted of Chinese Neolithic objects ，but how to name them ，because of less discussion there are different opinions in the academic circle. On the basis of collecting and arranging the related materials ，this article proposed some advice on naming the symbol carved and painted of Chinese Neolithic objects. We consider we should use “the symbol cared and painted ” not use “the symbol carved ”as the name of object carved of the Neolithic period. About the name of “geo- metric symbol ”and “hieroglyph symbol ”，we consider they do not reflect and summarize all their character- istics ，so we propose use “line configuration ”and “shape structure ”as their names.
