The method shows that mast cells by toluidine blue method, fluorescence method for determination of histamine. Results electroacupuncture increased the number of granulation tissue and its marginal mast cells (P0.01), and the histamine content increased (P0.01). In the early stage of trauma, mast cells were mainly histamine releasing. Conclusion electroacupuncture can promote wound healing by stimulating the number of mast cells and releasing mediators.
