AN2598 Application note Smartcard interface with STM32F10x and STM32L1xx microcontrollers Introduction This document describes a firmware (STSW-STM32011) and hardware Smartcard interface solution based on the USART peripheral integrated in STM32F10x and STM32L1xx microcontrollers. The main purpose of this firmware and hardware package is to provide resources that facilitate the development of applications using the USART peripheral in Smartcard mode. This application note refers only to the standard library version. The description of the example with STM32Cube firmware is provided in AN4800 “Smartcard interface based on STM32Cube firmware”. The STSW-STM32011 firmware interface consists of library source files developed to support the ISO 7816-3/4 specification. An application example based on STM3210B-EVAL, STM3210E-EVAL and STM3210C-EVAL evaluation boards is also provided. This document, its associated firmware and the other reference documents are all available on the STMicroelectronics website .
