It shows that about 65 percent of the students learn English to pass the exams. The number of those who learn English to fulfill parents and society’s demand accounts for 25 percent, followed by the number of those who learn English because of their own interests. As we can see from the graph, the number of the students who learn English to pass the exams ranks first and the number of those who learn English due to their own interests is the least of all . In my opinion, we should lay more emphasis on the interest in learning English instead of always aiming to pass the exam.
