Abstract A speech enhancement method based on the combination the subspace and waveiet is proposed. Using
this method, the disadvantages which wiii occur in the subspace approach and waveiet method respectiveiy are
overcome and the advantages in both methods are utiiized. The experimentai resuits show that the distortion of the
recovery speech is smaii that the noise is aiso depressed and that the music noise is removed effectiveiy.
