Evolution type and periodw ere obtained from m odel d irectly. Based on th is, the evolution process and the stab ility w ith variant num ber of cells, random in itial configurations, d ifferent transition rules and varied boundary conditionsw ere analyzed respectively. Itw as shown that the num ber of cellsm, the initial configuration, the transi- tion rule and the boundary cond ition had great influence on evolu tion type and period. And itw as concluded that the research provides an easy and visible computer smi u lation m ethod for com plexity study of cellu lar au tom aton, and then offers reference or verification for com plex theoretical derivation.
