W ith respect to the fin ite e lem en t m odeling and m odel upda t ing of Runyang C ablestayed B ridge, the m ultileve l fin ite elem ent m odeling m e thod of cablestayed bridges for the purpose o f structural dam age d iagnosis and safety evaluation is presen ted. T he resu lts show that the m ultileve l m ode l of longspan bridges shou ld be deve loped on the basis o f m odel error analysis.
