Abstract: The article gives calculation and comparison analysis on life-cycle reliability costs of different transmission lines, shows what is related to the lost on system of full life cycle costs, and reducing its once investment cost is an im- portant link. But blindly reducing investment cost to reduce full life-cycle costs is not desirable, it’s better to select long-life equipment according to the different stage of costs and reliability.
