Abstract Abstract AAbbssttrraacctt The acid mine drainage has lower pH and the content of heavy metal is high.As a result, AMD poses great environmental risk to aquatic life and receives more concern recently. Zebra fish acute toxicity experiment was conducted in static test method. Karber method and additive index method are used to evaluate the joint toxic effect of Fe (SO ) , MnSO , CuSO and ZnSO existed in theAMD. The results show 2 4 3 4 4 4 3+ that the LC of 24h, 48h and 96h for Fe are 116.45 mg/L,108.68 mg/L,103.78 50 2+ mg/L; the LC of 24h,48h and 96h for Mn are 2980.25 mg/L,2869.75 mg/L,2691 50 2+ mg/L; the LC of 24h,48h and 96h for Cu are 2.81 mg/L,2.50 mg/L,2.28 mg/L; the 50 2+ LC of 24h,48h and 96h for Zn are 64.73 mg/L,61.68 mg/L,57.03 mg/L. The results 50 also showed that the joint toxicity of Fe (SO ) with MnSO was antagonistic action; 2 4 3 4 while the joint toxicities of CuSO with MnSO and Fe (SO ) with CuSO were 4 4 2 4 3 4 synergistic. The joint toxicity was antagonistic action of Fe (SO ) with MnSO and 2 4 3 4 CuSO .The toxicity sequence of four heavy metals to zebra fish was CuSO > 4 4 ZnSO >Fe (SO ) >MnSO .
