Though Chinese maize industy has developed rapidly and made great achievements, it will be more difficult to continue improving its production capacity. 咀le maize consumption growth is in a rigid 阳时， and the maize oversupply will be gradually transfonned into balance, even inωrelatively tight supply. The pressure on effective self-sufficiency is mounting, the industry uncertainties 町e increasing, and the 也nger ìs expanding. The constraint factors including the shortage of a伊cultural re回urces，由e struct山租1 contradiction of varieties, the low level of mechanization, etc. were analyzed, and some appropriate countenneasures such 幽 scientific utilization of agricultural resources, optimization of varieti四 and regional dis回bution， promotion of mechanization and so on were put forward to guide people to reco伊ize Chinese ma?ze indutry and t，∞k effective measures to promote more healthy and orderly maize industry development.
