And language has become the bridge for smooth communication between Chinese and foreigners. And having a good capacity for listening is the first step of the follow smooth communication. Basing on the forefathers’ study on how to improve the capacity for listening, under the angle of teaching strategies, and combining with Krasen’ input hypothesis, the thesis researches how to improve the capacity for listening of the senior middle school students. Then make the result of this research to be a reference for the practice teaching activities of the senior middle school of Hezhou District. This thesis has analyzed the practice English listening teaching state of the students from the senior middle school of Hezhou District, and summarized the key factors of what stop the students of the senior middle school of Hezhou District from improving their capacity for listening. For the research above, combining with Krasen’ input hypothesis, the author gives some advices on the appropriate teaching strategies for the senior middle school English listening teaching on Hezhou District, and gives some references on Eng
