1. Intrduction 1.1 Source of the Survey “Learning burnout”, refers to that when students are lack of interest in study and learning motivation but have to study, they would feel tired, fatigued, depressed and frustrated, thereby creating a physical and emotionally exhausting sate of mind and a astate of negative attitude towards learning activities( Xu, 2011: 6). Nowadays, with the pressures of study becoming more and more serious, there are more and more students losing interests and passions in study, especially in English. They don’t do any revision about what they have learnt after class, nor do they preview the contents in the next lesson. And they are absent-minded most of the time during the English class.,with some of them reading nolves, some chatting with their friends or classmates by QQ, and even some sleeping in the class. This can be called learning burnout. 1.2 Purposes of the Survey The survey focuses on English learning burnout among art students in Fuchuan Ethnic Middle School.The writer applies the questionnaire to investigate English learning burnout level among the art students in Fuchuan Ethnic Middle School, to see whether the art students’ English learning burnout is correlated with Emotional Exhaustion, Reduced Personal Accomplishment, Apart Relationship between Teachers and Students and Psysiological Depletion. The purpose is to make the teachers pay more attention to English learning burnout among students. 1.3 Significance of the Survey There are few studies on English learning burnout at present, especially studies about English learning burnout among art students in middle schools. So this article focuses on investigating the situation of the art students’ English learning burnout in Fuchuan Ethnic Middle School, so as to know the art students’ English learning burnout level in this school.
