T he auth rs examine h w the s und changes are implemented, dem nstrating the instances f irregular and w eird changes. T hey assume that such changes may have externally been m tivated by the mutual c ntact f the neighb ring dialects, and that the gradual appr ximati n f the particular tw s unds may have been an internal fact r f r the changes.
