carboxylato)-propane，L2= 1,4_bis(pyridinio-4一carboxylato)一1，4一dimenthylbenzene)．Theirstruc—
tureshavebeencharacterizedby single．crystalX-raydiffractiontechniques．Thestructureofl
contains1．Dchains，inwhichtheadjacentHg(II)atomsarebridgedbyL ligandsinasyn-syn
bis．monodentate mode．The chanis are furtherconnected through face—to—face 万 stacking
interactionsbetweenpyridineringstogenerateannifinitedouble-chainnetwork．In2，twoHg0I)
