China (100876) E-mail ：xud@ Abstract This paper lists the key technologies in web services, such as SOAP, WSDL, and XML. Most importantly, it focuses on the application development based on ISG simulator. ISG provides a set of OSA methods and supports Parlay API. ISG simulator has combined many basic simulators and supports the same API as ISG. Using ISG simulator we can develop application easily and quickly, and the application can work well when transferred to real ISG. A web service is a software system identified by a URI, whose public interfaces and bindings are defined and described using XML. Its definition can be discovered by other software systems. These systems may then interact with the Web service in a manner prescribed by its definition, using XML based messages conveyed by Internet protocols. They are frequently just application programming interfaces (API) that can be accessed over a network, such as the Internet, and executed on a remote system hosting the requested services.
