Double Income No Kids DINK is a short form of Double Income No Kids. It means that a family with two incomes has no children. The term of DINK was first mentioned in 1989.1、 What is DINK ? 2、The reasons for forming DINK Family Once the couple have children, it will inevitably produce some differences for raise the child, which affects the quality of their marriage. The couple personal considerations: What’s more, the growing burden also desist people from raising a child , for it costs a large amount of money and time. Usually, as a double income family, couple has no leisure to raise a child. With the development of the times, people access to higher education and they have got more savings so that they don’t need to raise children to provide against old age just like before. Not sure about the stability of marriage, they fear that change will happen in the future, so simply not to have children. Out of consideration of the child: If the couple have children, they think that they shoud let children have the best life and the best education, or they just don’t want to have children .Keeping the couple world, it not only can make oneself live comfortable natural and unrestrained,and also can ease the financial burden on the society. Now the social competition is so fierce, striving for a social status, the children should study hard since their childhood.there will be more competi-tive in the future society, the children should strive more hard to earn their own place. DINK Family Status in China: According to a social survey, there are 600,000 DINK family in large and medium cities. 70% of the respondents believe that the number of DINK family will increase. Another survey show that nearly 20% women who ages between 15 to 59 consent to marriage with no baby, and 24.7% of young women require no children after marriage in beijing,shanghai ,guangzh-ou and chengdu.
