It is a branch of statistics based on probability theory and mathematical statistics, which is rich in content and widely used in statistical inference of multivariate data. It has been applied to many fields of natural science, engineering technology, economic finance and social science, and is closely related to modern data mining, machine learning and big data analysis. This lesson teaches continuous multivariate statistical analysis. The main contents include: Multivariate description statistics, matrix algebra, multivariate normal distribution and parameter estimation, hypothesis testing of multivariate normal population parameters, factor analysis, correspondence analysis, introduction to canonical correlation analysis, multidimensional scaling analysis and high-dimensional statistics.
