2. Support the argument effectively Convincing evidence is a crucial part of an argumentative essay. As in any effective paper, the evidence must be unified, adequate, specific, accurate, representative and reasonable, so that if your readers are also reasonable they will agree with you. The usual sources of evidence consist of examples, facts, authoritative or expert opinions, statistical findings, and personal experiences or observations. 3. Sound logic A good argumentative writing has to be effectively organized so that your reader can follow the chain of argument and be convinced by it. Sound logic is the foundation of a good argumentation. As the persuasive power of your evidence in terms of reasoning largely depends on whether it is sound or not. Logical reasoning includes two strategies: induction and deduction.
