This framework would be particularly useful for studying these topics in a transition economy or emerging market (non-US) setting such as China and other East Asian economies. The course can roughly be divided into two parts. First, we will go over some seminal papers in organization economics, agency theory, and ownership theory, which will help us to construct the research framework and at the same time provide students with many valuable research tools.
