UNITED ENERGY PAKISTAN LIMITED ANNEXURE 10 Code of Conduct The United Energy Pakistan Limited’s (“UEPL”) , “Code of Conduct” (‘”Code”) stands for a fundamental UEP commitment – to comply with all applicable legal requirements and the high ethical standards set out in this Code – wherever we operate. To help us meet this commitment, the Code defines what UEPL expects of its businesses and people regardless of location or background. It provides both guidance in key areas and references to more detailed standards, instructions and processes for further direction. Alll Contractors, sub-contractors, agents and/or consultants of UEPL must adhere to the principles and requirements contained in this Code and should consult the Code for guidance when acting with respect to any contract/ agreement/ menorandum of understanding or Letter of Intent awarded by UEPL. UEPL is committed to ensuring that its contractors , sub-contractors, agents and/or consultants apply all of the principles contained within this “Code of Conduct” document. UEPL will endeavour to employ only those contractors, sub-contractors, consultants and/or agents that subscribe to these principles, and who demonstrate their commitment to working towards the fullest application of the Code, and agree to the measurement of their performance by UEPL. The individual rights are intended to lead to greater mutual respect between both individuals and the companies they work for. They seek to encourage safer and more secure employment, increase efficiency, improve job satisfaction and provide a better trained workforce for all those engaged in the provision of Services under the Contract. The Contractor, sub-contractor, agent and/or consultant , shall undertake that it has carefully reviewed and agrees to act consistently with the UEP Code of Conduct and that it accepts and acknowledges that compliance with ethical practices is a core business value of UEPL and accordingly any failure on the part of Contrac
