ExpressionandsignificanceofICAM-1,P-Selectininvascularendothelialcellafterrabbitsvenousthrombosis[Abstrat]Objective:TheexperimentsweredesignedtodetectrelationshipbetweenthelevelsofICAM-1,P-Selectinanddeepvenousthrombosis(DVT).Methods:70adultrabbitsweredividedrandomlyintotheexperimentalgroup(60)andthecontrolgroup(10).Theposteriorvenacavaunderrenalveinoftheexperimentalgroupwereligatedatthecloseanddistantendtoinducethrombosismodel.Shamoperationthatweresimplybellyopenandclosetobeusedascrontrols.theexperimentalgroupwerekilledafter1,3and7daysafterthrombusinduction.Thesethrombosedveinsweredividedintothreegroups:groupA-one(n=20)dayafterthrombosis,groupB-threedaysafterthrombosis(n=20)andgroupC-sevendays(n=20)afterthrombosis.Theotherrabbitsweregiventheshameoperationasacontrolgroup(groupDn=10).DamagedendangiumandleukocytesadheringtheendotheliumandinfiltratinginthetargetveinwalloftheDVTrabbitswereobservedbypathologicalstudybymeansofHEdyeing.Ourfindingsdemonstratedanearly(day1)neutrophilinfiltrationintotheveinwallfollowedbyalater(days3and7)monocyte/macrophageandlymphocyteresponse.ICAM-1，P-Selectinexpressionweredeterminedwithimmunohistochemicalstaining.ICAM-1,P-Selectinwereelevatedonlyunderconditionsofvenousthrombosis.Result:DamagedendangiumandleukocytesadheringtheendotheliumandinfiltratinginthetargetveinwalloftheDVTrabbitswereobservedbypathologicalstudy.Ourfindingsdemonstratedanearly(day1)neutrophilinfiltrationintotheveinwallfollowedbyalater(days3and7)monocyte/macrophageandlymphocyteresponse.ThelevelsofICAM-1,P-SelectinintheDVTgroupwereallsignificantlyhigherthanthoseincontrolgroup(P0.05)ExpressionofICAM-1Mrna,P-SelectinmRNAisincreasedcontinuelyinthewholeperiodofveinthrombosis.ICAM-1,P-Selectinwereelevatedonlyunderconditionsofvenousthrombosis.Conclusion:Inthisstudy:venousthrombosisisassociatedwithaninflammatoryresponseintheveinwall.Inarabbitmodelofpesteriorvenacavalthrombosis.veinwallwastemporallyexaminedforinflammationbyassessmentofhistopathology.ThrombosisandICAM-1,P-Selectinar
