AbstractBased on current design of construction image background, from the analysis of the construction design of the image there are a lot of bionic phenomenons; image reveals the architectural design of the bionic reasonable. And it is a workable method, which is a new force of the current design practice.Bionic of architectural image design is one research direction of the bio- architecture. This article first explained the two concepts: architectural image and bio-architecture. Made use of imitation and analogy, extract and general natural biological characteristics of the structure also images from their biological. The article applied it in the construction design of the image to achieve the objective of building the image creation method. Then, understanding the connotation of bionic, revealing the nature of biological image both with the similarity between biological and architectural image. The paper analyzed the construction design of the bionic image’s ideological root also the development levels. The article profoundly explained the construction image bionic design of the three factors: concepts of creation main factors summarized as architects, and its decision to the inevitability of architectural design bionic image; social cultural factors explained the influence of social factors and cultural tendency to image building bionic design; scientific and technological factors explained the influence of biology, bionics and new construction techniques for bionic of architectural image design. Through the analysis of the image of the bionic design characteristics, type and application of techniques, built a clear image of the bionic design process and technical basis.Based on the consolidated results of the above study, the article used the literature, analysis of examples, synthesis and inductive methods, constructed in a systematic way to the principles and methods of bionic of architectural image design.
