AbstractThe single screw compressor is a new type of screw compressor ,which developes in abroad in 70th,mainly depending on the accurate mesh of the stars and screw to carry out its work process..In the domestic,only a few factories can produce this type of compressor,and a lot of problems should to be resolved in theory andpractice. The inner flow in single screw compressors is very complex, which affects compressor performance directly,so it’s significant to research the inner flow withCFD software. Because CFD can greatly shorten the mechanical design, optimization, validation and production cycles, so making use of CFD software has become an important research means in recent yearsIn this paper, and the main research works of single screw compressor are completed as following.Based on the principle of differential geometry and classical meshing theory,aseries of formulas have been deduced in this paper ,such as the meshing characteristics of screw and gators of the single screw compressor ,left and right spiral groove surface equations of screw, meshing equations of inverse envelope of gators and surface equations of gators.The geometry parameters of the single screw compressor were confirmed. Combined with the software UG and matlab, the 3D solid models of screw and gators were established, the plastic model of screw and gators were completed in projet3Dsystem SD3000.The internal flow field model of single screw compressor was extracted , which can be divided into two parts: the spiral groove and the pipe flow. Using dynamic mesh and moving mesh simulates the internal flow of spiral groove and the pipe flow. then, the velocity field, pressure field and temperature field changes of compressor were analyzed.The testing platform of single screw compressor was accomplish in laboratory, which can measures the temperature,pressure, speed of single screw compressor in 5different operating conditions, then, compared with the experimental data and the outcomes of sim
