Syllabus for International Trade Practice Course Code: SY30410/30410 Course Category: Special Module Selective Course Class Hours: 2/3 per week, 32/48 in total Course Credits: 2/3 Prerequisites: None Objectives and Requirements: This course is designed to introduce to students the general procedure, customs and practice of international trade. It will also provide opportunities for students to master the necessary skills required in typical import and export operation. On completion of this subject, students should be able to: Describe relevant international trade concepts Explain the major procedures involved in international trade Understand and be familiar with relevant documents used in import and export Understand and critically analyse various international trade issues and cases Demonstrate sufficient capability in handling trade operation Teaching Pattern: Lecture based teaching pattern, in corporation with case analysis, group discussion, and simulation games.
