Unit 2 Topic 1 I have a big nose
Background information:
School: Xinhua middle school
Students: Class 2, Grade 7
Lesson duration: 40 mins
Aims:
By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
1、Have ability to read fluently the content, describe your friends to partner, recite the important words, and hear to understand conversation about the description about someone.
2、Achieve ability to use accurately “I /you have···, she/he has···,long,big, small, short. ”
3、Have a good value to treat some deformity in the society
Teaching contents:
Main words: long, small, nose, mouth, eye贩?n Main structure: I /you have贩? ?nShe/he has贩?Teaching focus:
Learn the words about body parts and described words such as long, small贩?s:Use accurately the structures and words to make sentence.
Teaching procedures:
Step1: Review (5 mins)
Give students 2 minutes to read the contents learned in last class.
Ask students in a row to retell the content in front in 1 minute, everyone speaks more as far as possible.
We are together to review.
Step2. Lead-in (3 mins)
a) I will draw a frame of face without mouth, eyes, nose贩穙n the ssbottomright blackboard.
b) Students volunteer draw the face parts.
c) We are together to finish and discuss it.
Step3. Learn the new words(12 mins)
Use pictures and actions to introduce the words.
Students learn to read the words with the help of CD.
Give 3 mins to remember
Ask students write the words on the right place on the blackboard.
Step4. Learn the structures(17 mins)
a) Teach the structure through giving example.
b) Finish the exercises by yourself.
b) Compile conversation with partner.
C) volunteers show their conversations.
Step5. Summary (3 mins)
Retell the main words and main sentences
Homework:
Finish the exercises, and prepare a presentation about description of your friends for the next class.
