俄羅碩一26311 Russia’s Geopolitics and National Security[俄羅斯地緣政治與國家安全] Syllabus [課程說明] 星期五 D56 263849001 Spring 2010 綜合 270811 教師：王定士 Goal of the course [課程設計] This course is aimed at teaching graduate students through reading and discussing assigned materials so that they will grasp the dynamics that drive the policymaking on Russia’s policies on national security and geopolitics. The readings will cover basic geopolitical theories, Russia’s reorientation of its national security after the end of Cold War and the collapse of the Soviet Union, and, the implication of the new geopolitical trend in the 21 century for Russia’s national security. Students participating will also be taught the methodology and methods for researching topics in this field. [本課程的設計﹐旨在透過資料的閱讀及討論﹐讓學生充份了解俄羅斯地緣政治在國家安全中所扮演的角色。地緣政治的基本理論冷戰的重新定位21世紀地緣政治新趨勢對國家安全的意涵。地緣政治國家安全Oral presentation [口頭報告] Student should make at least one oral presentation on the required readings listed in the syllabus. [本課程將安排每位學生就講授大綱所列之教材做至少一次口頭報告，每次15-25分鐘。此項安排將於第一次上課時【2月26日】進行分配。] The oral presentation should include following items: (1) The author’s name and author’s brief biography, title and publication information; (2) major point of the reading; (3) supplementary materials; and (4) the presentor’s own comments. [口頭報告應包括：（一）所報告資料之作者姓名及簡介、標題以及出版資訊；（二）內容摘要；（三）相關議題補充資料；（四）心得與評論。並於報告前一天晚上10pm以前將書面摘要e-mail給老師。如有不懂之處，請以顏色將不懂之字句標出來，並註明資料原文頁碼，以便老師事先查閱，在上課時提出講解。] The presentation should be made with the assistance of power point. [口頭報告必須以投影片輔助說明。] Final requirements [學期作業] Requirements: all files of power point for oral presentations and all files of self-chosen literature.
