* Welcome to this presentation which explains the qualification changes you will see in 2007. I hope that these notes will help you, your colleagues, students, parents, employers and other interested parties understand what lies ahead in 2007. Please feel free to include your own details in the presentation, but retain the content that I have written * Firstly, a little background on ABE and what it does. There are two key points to note on this slide – firstly, ABE offers qualifications that are affordable for students. We believe in inclusion – students who may have the potential but not the financial resources can miss out on opportunities with other education providers. At ABE we keep our costs as low as possible to allow more of these talented students to fulfil their potential.Secondly, ABE has always prided itself on the quality of its provision. Indeed, we are recognised by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) in the UK and by other regulators around the world. This means that colleges, students and employers can be assured that our qualifications are of the highest standard.  * ABE offers its qualifications at three levels: Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma. Full-time students can complete all three levels within two years, although part-time learners will take longer. Until 2007, ABE offered programmes only in Business Administration, Business Information Systems, Travel, Tourism and Hospitality and Human Resource Management. The most popular programme by far is Business Administration, as it gives great progression to Bachelors and Masters degrees. The Human Resource Management programme was a little different from the others, since it was only available at Certificate and Diploma levels. Originally designed for those already working in the sector, we found that many people with no HR experience took the programme to give themselves more skills. * Looking ahead, there are exciting developments.
