You might have a misconception about the racial factor in education field, but my research could help you change the misconception. We all known that the school performance are differ for different racial groups, and we are used to have different expectation for different racial group. However, I think it is necessary to know the trigger of those differences, and the roots of them, it could help us minimize the educational gaps between races. In my analysis I want focus on three important components,?poverty, policy, and the starting lines differences for different racial group. Poverty Patterns of segregation by race are strongly linked to segregation by poverty, and poverty concentration are strongly linked to unequal opportunities and outcomes. Since public schools are the institution intended to create a common education for citizens in an increasingly multiracial society, this inequality can have serious consequences. It is important to understand the district level of the schools segregation by races, and poverty, and how they impact these students lives. “Poverty rates are important indicators of community well-being, and education level.” (Macartney, Bishaw, and Fontenot, 1). “By race, the highest national poverty rates were for American Indians and Alaska Natives (27.0 percent) and Blacks or African Americans (25.8 percent).”(Macartney, Bishaw, and Fontenot, 2).
