H arb in 150086 Ch ina) A bstract: To achieve intelligential precision machining of arb itrary space orb it, a eddy current sensor w ith w aterproof type and no contact is designed in view of sheetm etal, and eddy current sensor is app lied to water jet cutting robot system. Eddy current sensor research from the mathem atical model, perform ance of the sensor coil param eters is analyzed, the shape of coil section is inverse trapezoid and the design of an effective optmi ization m ethod is advanced, the linearm easurem ent range of sensor is mi proved. Expermi ental resu lts show that the cutting error of th is system is sm all, the speed of response is quick, the pointing precision and the production efficiency are h igh, and system w ork is stable.
