Abstract: Absolute total single-electron-capture cross sections have been measured for low-
energy O+ + N system in the collision energy range between 0.50 to 2.0 keV. These cross

sections are found to be in the range of 0.67 to 2.08 x10 cm . The measured total cross
sections for single-electron- capture display a slowly increasing behavior as a function of the
incident energy. Several measurements of total cross sections for electron-capture from
N by slow N + and O+ ions, and from O by slow O+ ions presently exist in the literature.
