MethodsAdult healthy female Wistar rats were randomly divided into two groups: model group (OVX group) and control group. The positive expressions of TrkA cells in the hippocammpi CA1, cortex, amygdala, Meynert of the basal forebrain were compared between the two groups.ResultsThe positive TrkA cells were observed in every section of the brain in control group, while in model group, the positive TrkA cells in the hippocammpi CA1 , cortex and amygdala were distinctly decreased as compared with the control group (t = 5.90-8.57, P lt;0.01. No difference was found in the Meynert nucleus between the two groups. Conclusion The low estrogen induces decrease of positive expressi
