Methods 110 cases of cervical spondylosis were treated by traction and manipulation combined with external application of Chinese medicine. Results 90 cases were cured, 13 cases were effective, 3 cases were markedly effective, 4 cases were ineffective, the total effective rate was 96.4%. Conclusion traction and manipulation combined with external application of Chinese medicine is an effective method for the treatment of cervical spondylosis. Keywords cervical spondylosis; traction manipulation; external application of Chinese medicine; Cervical disease, cervical syndrome, is caused by injury or cervical vertebra and soft tissue degeneration caused by cervical nerve root or spinal cord and neck vascular oppression and stimulate the shoulder and neck arm pain, numbness of the main manifestations of the disease. People who are 40 years old or older who work long or with poor sleeping posture are susceptible to the disease. There are many types of cervical spondylosis. The main types of cervical spondylosis are neck type, nerve root type, spinal cord type, vertebral artery type and sympathetic nerve type. The non surgical treatment of cervical spondylosis is more comprehensive, generally can have traction, medical, sports, physical therapy, western style techniques, drugs, fixed and braking, massage, acupuncture and herbal medicine and so on. In recent years, the author used traction, manipulation and Chinese medicine external application for the treatment of cervical spondylosis in 110 cases, and achieved satisfactory results.
