Jiangsu Bureau of Geology and Mineral R esources P ros ecting, Nanj ing 210018, J iangsu, China) Abstract:Based on the hydrogeological conceptual model and land subsidence model according to the hydrogeological mechanisms of groundw ater system and land subsidence mechanisms in the development zone along the Yangtze River in Jiangsu Province, a thre-e dimensional numerical model for groundw ater w ithdraw al and land subsidence is established. Aiming at controlling the land subsidence, the optimal exploitation scheme for each aquifer is presented, w hich provides a scientific foundation for exploiting groundw ater reasonably and controlling land subsidence in the area.
