In this study, the Bemisia tabaciattack ing behavior of S . j ap onicum adults and larvae was observed by a videocassette recorder . The results showed that the predatory behavior of S .j ap onicum adults w as characteristic w ith si events, i . e . , walking , feeding, clear ing , resting, vibrat ing w ings, and e creting. The starved larvae of S . j ap onicum was fond spending all times in feeding and w alking on host eggs, w ith no time in resting or clearing t hroughout t he process. The time included in feeding and walking was not significant different among different instars of S . j ap onicum . The handing time per egg decreased with S .j ap onicum larvae developed from instar I to !, but differed little betw een instar ∀ and !. T he starved females of S . j ap onicum spent longer t
