The relation sh ip between the m ean popu lation den sity of Hy lobitelus x iaoi and the m ean worm ho le in sla sh p ine were inve stigated and 5 function s were found re sp ectively. The re su lts showed that the be st su itab le m athem atic s model cou ld be de scribed a s: Y = 2 0. 082x + 0. 2 2 16x + 0. 063, and the tab le of relation sh ip between the m ean popu lation den sity of H. x iaoi and the m ean worm ho le in sla sh p ine were e stab lished, wh ich p rovided a simp ly m ethod for num ber inve stigation and foreca st of H. x iao in sla sh p ine p lan tation s.
