Traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of diabetes in the thousands of years of theory and practice and clinical practice has accumulated rich experience，in the treatment of diabetes and its chronic complications advantage obviously，and modern pharmacological research also prove Chinese herbs may be the multi-channel，，multi-target lowering blood glucose. In this paper，Chinese medicine treatment type 2 diabetes clinical and basic research progress are reviewed.
