Part Four: Themes of the movie In this movie, i see kind humanity. Why? At first, i think it reflects on the humanbeings and horses,horses and horses. Maybe we are not clear that how many horses were died of the first world war .But i learn about that in the war , soildiers were lonely and scared which made them relied on horses accompany a lot. At first,we can see that Joey and Albert develop a depth of feeling with going through a series of difficulties . Especilly at the end of movie ,even if Albert was injured badly ,he still could feel that horse is Joey! Whats more, Joey meeted with four masters except Albert. All of them showed great concern on him and tried their best to protrct them .There was a sense in the movie that in order to ease his partner Topthorns pain , performed active delibertely ,thus he he takes the place of Topthorn to pull guns. In addition ,the scene that two soilders helped Joey to be free away of wires also reflects humanity and courage. To sum up, humanity should not be ignoed. It is the humanity that make the movie full of more tender feelings and make audience see hope. There is no doubt that the movie conveys such a theme :Anti-war. Joey crazily runed and jumped up in No mans Land, which respented breaking through the obstruction to pursuit of freedom. It was just the director wants to tell us. You should never give a name to anything you are certain to lose.The war has taken everything from everyone. Yeah,the war was cruel. It may break up one family , a pair of lovers , a pair of brothers and so on .No one can imagine how irreparable harm the war does to the society.
