Such as : which sculpture we should make? How do we produce them? what is the the possibility of the development of sculpture, espacially so great many sculptors in the world? How to learn good things from traditional art and culture? How to hold an emotional artquality? what are the relationships of medium and themes and technical language factor. With these questions, I choose an excellent artist for study on his idea of work, his practice, his achievement and his ideas on sculpture, and so on. I am trying to solve these problems. Antony Gormley is a contemporary sculptor now live in Britain. For decades he made a large quantity of works, he also made many art projects “sculpture-installation-lanscape ”, and exerted a broad and profound influence. Antony Gormley’s sculpture embodied expression of profound mental and concern of the humanities, still have a comprehensive and diversified direction. My paper explored in the context of the artist, relevant influence , and carefully examine the artist in the past thirty years of the art works and projects. Concrete analysis of causes, and work style ; following summary is deep in thought he looked at the art of thunder and value meaning.
