School of Urban and Environment Sciences, Shanxi Normal University, Linfen 041004, China) Mr. Wang Xingzhong is a famous human geographer in China. He is advocating the introduction of new human geography in China and one of the practitioner. His academic thoughts focused on modern neo-humanism in leading Chinas study on the spatial structure of dual values, created a system of the con- cept of urban society-life spatial quality theory. In this regard, he can be described as a pioneer in human ge- ography. He has a wide range of social geographical thoughts, mainly on spatial structure of urban society, spatial structure of urban life andmicro-location of urban commerce and recreation. WANGs theory has filled in blanks in the 3 fields, building on new paradigms of society geography studies.
