Pre-reading Presentation 1. Leading-in 2. Ask the students to understand what the unknown world? 3. Pre-Reading 1）Imagine the unknown world what? 2）them they are going to read a diary about a trip to unknown world. Look at the heading and guess its content. 3）Introduce some new words before their reading and have Ss try to guess the meanings according to pictures and context. Talk with partners about the Qs Try to talk about the unknown world as much as possible. Finish the exercises To lead in the topic of the whole reading Let Ss be more familiar with the article and train their skinning skill II. While-reading Procedure 1. Fast reading: Ss look at the picture as fast as they can and try to choose the right answer to Exercise 1. 2. Read the title and the first paragraph of the unknown world and circle the correct answers to Exercise 2. 3. Read the diary. Circle the correct answers to complete the sentences to exercise 4. Ss complete the conversations with the words and phrase. Try to finish the exercises Finish the exercises C2D To let Ss be more familiar with the whole structure of the article and it’s good for Ss to recite it in class III.
