Résumé Le port d’une prothèse auditive peut entra?ner des démangeaisons ou des douleurs au niveau essentiellement de la conque, du méat et du conduit
auditif externe. Ces problèmes peuvent être dus à un défaut d’ajustement, à la macération de la peau favorisée par l’humidité et l’occlusion, mais aussi être la conséquence d’une allergie de contact aux matériaux constituant l’embout ou aux produits d’hygiène. Il est important d’analyser la situation et de prendre les mesures appropriées pour éviter l’évolution vers une otite externe, voire une périchondrite. . . ou l’abandon de la prothèse auditive. ? 2016 Elsevier Masson SAS. Wearing a hearing aid can lead to itching and pain at the level of the external ear, the opening of the ear and/or the outer ear canal. These problems can be due to maladjustment of the device, maceration of the skin exacerbated by humidity and occlusion, but it can also be the consequence of contact allergy due to the material in the tip of the hearing aid or to local use of hygiene products. It is important to analyze the situation and to take the appropriate measures to avoid evolution of the problem to an external otitis, even to pericondritis. . . or to giving up the hearing aid. ? 2016 Elsevier Masson SAS.
