Study on inhibition of total oil in capparis spinosa in proliferation of human gastric carcinoma cell JI Yu-bin1,2,3, WANG Wei 1,YU Lei1,2,3, CUI Rong-tian 1,MO Ke1，Zou Xiang1,2,3 (1.Center of Research and Development on Life Sciences and Environmental Sciences, Harbin University of Commerce, Harbin 150076, China; 2.Institute of Materia Medica and Postdoctoral Programme of Harbin University of Commerce, Harbin 150076, China;3.Engineering Reseach Center of Natural Anticancer Drugs,Ministry of Education) Abstract：Objective : To study the anti-neoplastic effect of oil .Methods: MTT and SRB were used to study anti-neoplastic action of oil in vitro.The effect of oil on cell apoptosis and different stages of cell cycles in human gastric carcinoma SGC-7901 cells was studied by flow cytometry.Results：The proliferation of SGC-7901 cells was inhibited after treated with 10、50、100、150 and 200 μg/ml the total oil in Capparis spinosa for 72 h and the IC50 is 145.5 μg/mL, GI50 is 121.32 μg/ml，LC50 is 900.96 μg/ml，TGI is 240.55 μg/ml. After SGC-7901 cells were treated by the total oil in Capparis spinosa for 24 h, morphological changes of apoptosis were observed. The apoptotic cells were detected after treating with 75、150 and 300 μg/ml of the total oil in Capparis spinosa for 24 h. ell cycle was also analyzed, with results showing that total oil in Capparis spinos leads to obstructing of S stage.Conclusion:Oil has significant anti-tumour effect.Its mechanism of anti-neoplastic action could be attributed to its action of initiating the apoptosis of tumor cells.
